Young members from The Mix Youth Cafe in Crosby help cover safety railings with tinsel in preparation for the big Christmas Switch On Event in Crosby Village on Saturday, 27th November, from 12:00 to 6:00. Look out for these young people during the Switch On – they will be circulating in their hi-vis jackets with collection tins so that the community can contribute towards the cost of the fabulous tree and spectacular lights. Bob Gordon, spokesperson for The Crosby Town Team, said “we work hard throughout the year, organising various fundraising events in order to put Crosby Village on the map during the Festive Season. We welcome all the help we’ve had from The Mix Youth Cafe and it’s great to see teenagers volunteering their time to help the local community. I hope people will give generously so we can continue to light up Crosby Village every year.”
